Crazy Days

Here is an update but still no pictures...We have moved into our house in Smithfield! What a hellacious couple of weeks it has been. We painted and did some demo work for a week straight round the clock then moved in on the eighth day. We are still working on painting cabinet doors and painting the baby's room. The baby was under some stress along with me so I have learned my lesson and am now taking it easy. The baby is still due the end of June but maybe he will come early cuz he is still measuring big. Time is flying so he will be here before you know it. They did another growth ultrasound a few weeks ago and he is in the 74th percentile which means he will likely be pushing 9 pounds. Maybe to some of you that is no big deal but I am a little paranoid about his size! I am trying not to stress over things I have no control over. As long as he is healthy, size doesn't matter. Kendrick is playing soccer this spring and that has been a ton of fun to watch! Mike is just finishing up the semester just in time to start summer semester and then he will graduate after next summer semester. He is stoked to be down to 3 semesters! I will try to post pix of the house and soccer games soon. Life is good and we hope that you are all doing well! TTFN, XOXO!!!

Well, it seems like it has been a long time since I posted and it will probably continue to be a while before things settle down. This is just a quick update on whats going on...I registered Kendrick for Kindergarten this month, I know, crazy huh? He will be going to Sunrise Elementary in Smithfield. We are closing on a house at the north end of Smithfield this week. We are really excited but realize a lot of work/moving lies ahead. We will be doing some painting and then moving in so hopefully by the end of April we will be out there. We will get unpacked and settled just in time to welcome our new son to the family. My due date is currently still the end of June but the baby is measuring 4 weeks bigger than what they think so there is a chance in the next week or two they will up my due date and he will arrive earlier. We will see if I could be so lucky! Other than that we are all doing ok and time is cruising right along. We hope all of you and your families are doing well also! XOXO

Fairly Obvious!

We found out that we are having another boy! We are really excited for the new addition to our family! I can't say that I wasn't a little surprised cuz I was kinda thinking girl, but we are very grateful that he is healthy so far and everything is progressing well. Kendrick is soooooo excited( I can't stress that enough) to have a brother! He already has bunk beds for them picked out in Pottery Barn magazine that he wants us to buy. He can't quite understand that it will be a while before he can share a bed or rough house with the baby. I guess I can reluctantly say that I am feeling better than I was, but still not really feeling good. At this point, any milestone is a miracle!

Super Hero in Training

I was able to sneak up behind Kendrick to take pictures without him knowing while he was watching his Spiderman and Batman videos. It was so cute how into it he was and how well he has the actions down! He loves to dress in costumes(boy dress-up I guess) and play the role. I had so much fun secretly catching him in action!

First Run of the Season

Grandma Gwen put Kendrick on her season ski pass with her so that she could take him skiing on fridays. Kendrick has never been before so we weren't sure how it would go. To our surprise, he actually did really well. My sister-in-law Natalie and her son Tug also went up with Tug's Grandma Chris. The four of them had so much fun!!! Natalie, Stone, and I stayed in the lodge to take pictures and keep warm. It ended up being an all-dayer! I thank Gwen a million times for having the patience and giving my son the opportunity to do something that I have always wanted him to learn. I hope he loves it! It really was a full circle moment for me...my dad was an amazing skiier and he and his brothers patrolled at Beaver Mtn. for years. We were at the Beav every winter weekend growing up. So it was a moment I teared up and took it all in. Kendrick really made Grandpa Del proud!

Christmas in Cali!

This year for the holidays we decided to go on a Southern California vacation with my two sisters and their families and our family friend and her family. I think there were 17 of us in all. We woke up early Christmas morning and opened presents then quickly headed off to the airport. We flew out just in time before the terrible storm came in and closed the airport. We spent 3 1/2 days in Anaheim at Disneyland and then the other 3 1/2 days in San Diego at Seaworld and the beach. The weather was never hot but the sun shined the whole time and the best part was there was no snow! We had not been on vacation for a long time so it was really cool to get out for a change of scenery. I did suprisingly well while we were there. I was really tired but able to keep my nausea in check for the most part. I think we were so busy I didn't really have time to dwell on it. I don't want to curse myself and say that I am doing better, but I hope that we are on the downward side of this sickness! We hope you all had wonderful holidays!

USS Midway

We had the opportunity to visit a retired navy ship docked in San Diego called the USS Midway. They take you on tours and tell you all about how the military would operate the ship as well as the air force running planes from off the ship's deck. It was a really cool experience for us history buffs!
